Hi, my name is Mr. JM Gutierrez. I will start my 15th  year teaching at K/D Magnet H.S. this year, but I have been teaching since 2005. I currently teach 10th-grade World History.

 

The content for World History: The content of this class will be taken from the California State Standards. The 10th-grade State Standards will drive the entire content of this class. This year your student will learn the moral and ethical principles in Greek and Roman philosophy, the Glorious Revolution of England, the French Revolution, the Industrial Revolution in England, France, Germany, Japan, and the United States, and the global change in the era of New Imperialism, the effects of First World War, the causes and consequences of World War II, nation-building in the contemporary world, and the integration of countries into the world economy and the information, technological, and communications revolutions (e.g., television, satellites, computers).  We will use a new history textbook, World History and Geography 2018 edition (Modern Times.)
