They ask the Essential Question: Why should we learn OUR Los Angeles history?
- To empower students as active community participants through learning about their communities and cities regardless of their demographics
- To analyze the historical and material context of our communities and their leaders
- To center the experiences of Black/African American, Brown and Indigenous people of Los Angeles in our historical memory(Black, Indigenous, People of Color- BIPOC)
